DrainTeck LLC is committed to making www.drainteck.com and the DrainTeck customer portal accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. This statement describes what we've done, what's verified, and what's still in progress — it reflects our actual, tested status, not an aspiration.
Conformance Status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for improving accessibility for people with disabilities, at three conformance levels: A, AA, and AAA. Our target is WCAG 2.2 Level AA.
Our public marketing site (home, services, schedule, quote, contact, specials, service agreements, about, careers, and this page) and our customer portal (account, appointments, invoices, service history, maintenance plans, notifications, and devices) are partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA — automated and manual testing (described below) found and fixed real issues on both, and no known violations remain as of the date above. "Partially conformant" reflects that a full screen-reader walkthrough is still in progress, not any known gap in what's been tested.
What We've Done
- Automated scanning — we use axe-core, an industry-standard accessibility testing engine, run against every public page and every customer portal page.
- Manual keyboard-navigation testing — every page has been tested tab-key-only: logical tab order, no keyboard traps, and a visible focus indicator on every interactive element.
- Color contrast — text and interactive elements are checked against WCAG's contrast requirements (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text and UI components), not just against our brand colors' default values.
- Real fixes, not just findings — issues found through this process, including a few that were plain visual bugs (not just technical violations), were fixed and re-verified live, not just logged.
Known Limitations
Despite our efforts, one part of our review isn't complete yet:
- Screen reader testing so far has been limited to verifying the underlying page structure (headings, landmarks, accessible names) is sound — a full screen reader walkthrough is still in progress.
